We made it through Part 1 | Sadie

Our family is the most important thing in our lives. When it comes to being a mom, that is our life, that is our job, and that is what we live for. No one could ever stop us from doing whatever we need to do to protect and support our family.

The three of us have been tested, tried, and broken, but we have survived and thrived because of our kids! We live each and every day to make sure they are taken care of, and have a mom they can be proud of. We are strong, independent, and motivated moms, who just happen to be business owners under the same awesome roof!

Let's start with me, hey, I'm Sadie, full blood North Dakotan raised here in Bismarck. Proud mom, business owner, and music lover! My son, Drayton, is almost 10 years old, which makes me cringe just thinking about it. "He shouldn't be that old yet" I think to myself everyday! But, as we know, everyday they get bigger and we can't do anything about it.

It has been Drayton and I since 2009. He was 5 months old when I left his dad. Being in a home with an addict is not easy. It is very hard and trying, and when you bring a child into the world, and have to take him into that kind of household, your mindset changes. When you have a child, you truly find out what love is. My mom has always told me, "You have no idea what love is, wait until you have a child of your own",and she was right. Drayton changed my life, correction, he has saved my life!

Having such a big responsibility and having to grow up at such a young age was tough, and going through an emotionally abusive relationship was even harder, but I did it. Today, I am a driven, independent woman. A proud mother of a smart and talented son, I have a wonderful boyfriend, and a happy life! I wouldn't give this life up for anything. Going through the tough parts of life, that is what creates the person you become later on. I love who I have become!
